Mega Codes

It's important to assess and start immediate care to those patients that in cardiac arrest. Once on scene, you must assess their LOC and there ABC's. Once no breathing and no pulse are determined, start CPR. The best way to run a mega-code, is to have everyone assigned a job; one person on the chest, one doing airway, etc.

Try to practice running a mega-code every so often. It's important to remember how to respond and treat patients that are in cardiac arrest. Still, don't limit yourself to mega-codes. Practice treat tachycardia and bradycardia with pulses-for the stable and unstable patients. Keep up-to-date on your skills, because someone's life is really in your "hands."

At anytime, a patient can go into cardiac arrest. It doesn't matter the color, age, sex, etc of the person.

Prepare yourself for mega-codes. Soon, I will post some mega-codes for you to practice going through.
