Case Study-Stroke

You are dispatched for a 83 year old male that is feeling "weak." As you arrive on scene, the patient's wife greats you at the door and escorts you to the back room where the patient is sitting. You find a male, sitting on the couch, with his right arm dangling down the arm-rest. As you try to ask the patient questions, you notice severe facial drop, right sided, and he is unable to speak....

Patient Information:
Age: 83             Sex: M              CC: Weakness
Meds: Metaprolol            Hx: HTN, asthma          Allergies: NKDA

Vitals:
Pulse: 104       BP: 198/100      RR: 16     SpO2: 94% RA

Assessment:
Total right side deficit - facial droop, arm drift, unequal hand grip
